The Met Ball 2016 theme has just been announced and it sounds completely mind-blowing.
Following on from this year's "China: Through the Looking Glass", next year's gala will be named "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology" and held on 2 May.

Taylor Swift will co-host the event
As if the next-level celebrity outfits we can expect from the theme aren't exciting enough, it's also been announced that Taylor Swift and Idris Elba will be co-hosting the event along with fashion industry icons Anna Wintour and Jonathan Ive.
Nicolas Ghesquière, Karl Lagerfeld, and Miuccia Prada will also serve as honorary chairs.
According to Vogue, the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute exhibit, which the gala celebrates, "will focus on the dichotomy between handmade haute couture and machine-made fashion."
