But the collection is already causing some controversy on Twitter. While some users have praised Zara for making a "huge step forward for non-binary acceptance," others have criticised the clothing on offer.
was Zara trying to do something groundbreaking with their "ungendered" clothing? it's literally just plain tshirts and sweatpants...

.@ZARA how 'bout adding skirts to your "ungendered" line? everybody likes to feel the breeze, and it looks so dope. pic.twitter.com/wNCbzSIQjx

@evanrosskatz @elielcruz will @ZARA have skirts / dresses / floral prints? or just "ungendered" clothes that masculine folks usually wear?

.@zara's "ungendered" clothing line is a decent start but come on let's get folks into skirts, it's such a cool look pic.twitter.com/aqrzsxG8iS

"Zara has boldly released its first Ungendered clothing line" it's literally just male coded lounge wear

when will we move past this notion that genderless clothing simply = plain t-shirts/sweatpants? why is this "bold"? https://t.co/j5SyO3Z0go

@evanrosskatz @ZARA so ungendered clothing means ugly sweatshirts for skinny white people?
— em :-) (@concretegravity) March 4, 2016
@ZARA bbz idk if you know that "ungendered" doesn't mean sloppy
