Melissa McCarthy's new fashion line is one of the most awaited plus size drops this year and we've just had a sneak peek.

US Vogue published the first photos of the Melissa McCarthy Seven7 collection and it looks incredible.

melissa mccarthy

“I just wanted to do a basic closet that I couldn’t find,” McCarthy told Vogue.

“Some days I want to be prim and proper, and others I want to be in a band,” she said of her inspiration for the line. “I want you to wear it how you want to.”

melissa mccarthy

The actress recently spoke out about the frustrations of shopping as a plus size woman and the 80 pieces in her new range will all come in US sizes 4-28 (UK sizes 8 to 32).

McCarthy's line officially debuts on 1 September and every item will cost under $150 (£95), (we're coveting the black pencil skirt pictured above).

McCarthy's not the only silver screen star to venture into the plus size market - Pitch Perfect actress Rebel Wilson also announced her fashion collaboration with Torrid, due to launch around the holiday season later this year.

Katy Perry, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Oprah Winfrey Star As Their Fantasy Icons In Harper's Bazaar

Every now and then a fashion shoot comes along that we can really get behind and a series in the September issue of Harper's Bazaar is definitely one of them.

The mag's global fashion director Carine Roitfeld teamed up with legendary photographer Jean-Paul Goude to transform today’s icons, including Katy Perry, Oprah Winfrey and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, into the fantasy icons they identify with most, from Elizabeth Taylor to Glinda the Good Witch and Aphrodite.

We're loving Katy's punky Warhol take on Elizabeth Taylor, complete with nose ring and pop art eyeshadow, but the jury's still out on why Mariah Carey would pick to pose as Marie Antoinette...

Perry on why Elizabeth Taylor is her icon: "An icon transcends time. Liz was so fabulous and decadent and had a style that evolved with the years ... and I’m sure I’ll be married just as many times!"

Perry wears: Dress, Azzedine Alaïa; Earrings, Dior Fine Jewelry; CoverGirl Intensify Me! Liquid Liner in Intense Black.

Oprah on why Glinda the Good Witch is her icon: "The Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite spiritual tales, and Glinda is a spiritual goddess. I love when she says to Dorothy, ‘You’ve always had the power.’

"That is the message for all of us: You’re born with it, you always have it. It doesn’t matter how many yellow brick roads you go down, it’s always right there in your heart."

Oprah wears: Dress, Ralph Lauren Collection; Shoes, Walter Steiger; Bracelet, Van Cleef & Arpels.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who also graces the issue's cover, stars inside the issue as her fashiom icon Diana Vreeland - a former editor of Harper's Bazaar.

Icons by Carine Roitfeld and Jean-Paul Goude appears in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar, on sale 4th August. See the full shoot here

Amber Le Bon On The Highs And Lows Of Modelling And Her Favourite Secret Beauty Product

Model Amber Le Bon is famously private. Try Googling her name for details about her lifestyle, and you'll find practically none.

There are, however, plenty of pap shots either by herself or posing with her model mother Yasmin Le Bon who has taught her a lot (and more on that later). But beyond her famous parents (her father is, course, Simon Le Bon), Amber is forging her own career and legacy.

amber le bon
Amber for the BHF

Her fashion credits are high. Aside from great red carpet and party style, she has already modelled for the likes of Dior, Chanel and Giles Deacon.

But her status beyond campaign and catwalk model changed distinctly this year.

Amber was dubbed 'the breakout style star of LFW' earlier this year and in June this year, Red magazine held a dinner in her honour.

Judging by her latest initiative - she is supporting the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and is one of the faces for their Tunnel of Love event in November - she's off to a good start.

amber le bon catwalk

But - she hadn't always intended to be a model. We grabbed some time with her to find out the nitty gritty...

What would you have done if you hadn't become a model?

If I hadn't been a model, I probably would have gone down the photography route as I always adored photography, otherwise jewellery design or beauty, as there is something about those ‘creatives’ that really resonate with me.

Or maybe have gone into medicine in some way.

The thought about training to be a surgeon or nurse is another thing I always was fascinated with and loved, and I love that I'd be able to help heal someone.

How did you get into modelling considering all that other ambition?

I was lucky enough for it to be and industry my mother had been involved in and so was aware of it around me. I had just finished school and had no idea how to narrow down what I wanted to do, and my Mama's agent said why don’t try modelling until I figured it out, and it started from there really.

Story continues below the slideshow:

What are three of your favourite pieces/designer in your wardrobe and why?

A peach Chanel bag, because it's a classic and it goes with most things that I wear. I love Self Portrait because I love the mix of textures and how fun the clothes are.

I am obsessed with Gianvito Rossi shoes and Cobra Society boots, both of which I find really comfortable.

gianvito rossi

Incidentally, how big is your wardrobe?

My wardrobe is crazy because I hate getting rid of things, even when they don't fit, so it’s always a struggle to close the wardrobe door. luckily I'm able to keep a good amount at my parents house as well as my flat, although things get tricky when you're trying to pack to go somewhere and you realise that what you want isn't where you're packing.

I really need to sort it all and separate into winter wardrobe and summer wardrobe, It would make like so much easier.

How do you select what you're going to wear for the day?

Day to day, it's really about what's comfortable and something I can move around and actually live in. I like my day to day clothes to be functional but still stylish, for example if it's a skirt that looks amazing but is awkward to sit down in it, then that's not going to work for me. I love good quality fabrics and super soft knits, and I mostly wear black.

What has been your biggest fashion regret?

I'm sure there have been some things that I've worn and people have thought what is she doing, but I don't regret them as I really dress for me and wear things that I like, and I must have liked it for some reason to have worn it, so I definitely never regret it.

There's a lot that I regret not buying though, as I'm a terrible shopper. I wait too long being indecisive and then it's gone, but once it's gone I realise that I really wanted it.

amber le bon catwalk

What beauty product couldn't you live without?

I use a fantastic Argan oil on my face instead of face creams, and it's the only one I've come across that isn't scented or heat treated and that is hand-picked and cold pressed by hand and not machine.

It's from Saadia Organics and is totally my beauty secret!

What are some of the harder parts to being a model that some people just might not see?

There is a lot of travelling involved in modelling, and lonely nights in hotel rooms in cities where you don't know anyone, luckily for me though, I actually love flying.

Jobs also can be booked very last minute, and you find yourself having to cancel previous plans with friends and family the whole time, as being self-employed you never know when the next job is coming.

Family usually understands, but you need good friends who understand when you have to suddenly go away and work when it's their birthday or a dinner etc. I hate letting people down, so I don't like to say I can definitely do thing until near the time.

It's also a lot of early starts and a mentally draining day as you're constantly giving a part of yourself and creating emotions for the camera. There are lots of great parts to it to though; I know how lucky and fortunate I am but like most jobs the good and bad go hand in hand.

Do you still live in Putney at home?

I live in my flat but spend a lot of time at home as it's nearby and I'm totally a home bunny, I love being with my dogs and sisters.

My best friend keeps me very grounded, we've been best friends since we were 11 and so know each other better than anyone. She lets me moan when I need to but is the first to tell me off and tell me that I'm being ridiculous if I need it.

She reminds me of who I am and the kind of person that I want to be.

You're sometimes photographed with your mum - what has she taught you about being a woman and also about beauty?

Mama really taught me about being strong and kind, you have to be strong to deal with the knock and rejection in life, and particularly in modelling, but to always maintain kindness.

Beauty-wise she taught me to moisturise, a lot, apparently it's the saviour of the skin, I still forget to do it most of the time though.

amber le bon yasmin
Amber and mum Yasmin

Why did you decide to get involved with the BHF for this particular project - what resonated with you?

I really wanted to get involved because heart failure still needs a huge amount of research. It's one of the most vital organs in the body and huge amounts of people are living with damaged hearts, a devastating and incurable condition whereby your heart cannot pump blood around the body as well as it needs to.

If I can help get the message out to people who may not even realise this is a huge problem, I 100% want to be a part of that!

When it comes to the office, what you wear says a lot about where you want to go. (For proof, just look at some of the contestants on The Apprentice).

But whether you're starting out in your first ever job or you're already chairwoman of the board, making those sartorial choices each day an seem like a bit of an effort.

That's why we love it when a high street brand nails a capsule workwear collection, and H&M's new autumn/winter 15 range is right up our (stylish, office-filled) street.

hm workwear

As always, H&M's dresses take their cues from the catwalk, but combine their high fashion ethos with a sensible comfort that's sure to survive eight-hours in an office chair - plus, one of them is a dead ringer for a Victoria Beckham style.

There's also cosy, yet lightweight jumpers, to throw on when the air con's on full blast, a leopard print skirt to rival M&S's autumn offering, and the spot-on suede accessories to update last year's wardrobe.

If your work dress code is on the smart side, nail the art of power dressing (which is officially back, FYI) with a sharp blazer, or slip into the 70s and keep it casual in an embroidered peasant blouse.

Here's our pick of the 17 best H&M pieces to wear to the office this autumn:

Kardashian Kids Collection's Latest Photos Show Your Kids Could Be Way More Stylish Than You

When Kim, Kourtney and Khloé announced they were launching the Kardashian Kids collection in February 2014, no one was really sure what to expect.

Sure, they know a thing or two when it comes to fashion, but when Kim Kardashian's signature style includes a latex pink dress, we questioned how the kids range would pan out.

But latest photos of the Kardashian Kids Collection is nothing less than adorable and your tots will probably be more stylish than you if they wear it.

With high-waisted trousers, high-neck vests, pastel colours and matching shoes, these kids are rocking it hands down.

The collection is currently only available in the US and sold in Toys R Us, but available to ship over.

And unlike what you'd expect, they're not that pricey either.

Starting from $3 (£2.50) from some seriously cute floral headbands and $10 (£6.50) for a sleeveless printed dress and nappy cover set, we don't think that's half bad.

Cecil The Lion: Cara Delevingne And Other Fashion World Celebrities Speak Out About The Killing

Cecil the lion's killing has caused widespread outrage all over the Internet and now some famous faces from the fashion world are having their say too.

A number of high profile models, designers and industry officials are taking to social media to express their disgust at American dentist Walter Palmer, who was allegedly paid 50,000 dollars (£31,900) to track and shoot the beloved animal.

Most notably, Victoria's Secret Angels Candice Swanepoel, from South Africa, and Behati Prinsloo, from Namibia, both gained thousands of likes for their heartfelt Instagram posts.

See their social media comments below:

Animal rights organisation PETA have spoken out about Cecil's killing, releasing a statement saying they would like to see Walter Palmer "extradited, charged and preferably hanged".

PETA also announced yesterday that they had purchased a share in Hermès as part of a campaign to stop the fashion brand making goods using animal skins.

The news comes after Jane Birkin's official request that Hermès remove her name from its iconic crocodile skin Birkin bag due to alligator slaughtering practices.

"Having been alerted to the cruel practices reserved for crocodiles during their slaughter to make Hermes handbags carrying my name ... I have asked Hermes to debaptise the Birkin Croco until better practices in line with international norms can be put in place," the British actress and singer said in a statement.

We hope this marks the start of important changes towards animal cruelty in the fashion industry.

Presenting the Cinnaman bun, wherein a tasty treat bun replaces a man bun.

Yes, two men by the names of Stephen Stenholt and Matt Fuller have discovered that replacing the popular hairstyle with the breakfast pastry is a thing of beauty, and they've even created an entire Tumblr page to this phenomenon.

The results are as delicious and hilarious and you'd expect.

Calvin Klein Advert Shows Same-Sex Couples For The First Time In The Brand's History

From a topless 17-year-old Kate Moss straddling Marky Mark, to that Justin Bieber ad, Calvin Klein is no stranger to provocative campaigns.

That's why we weren't at all surprised by their new fall 2015 campaign inspired by none other than sexting... because obviously that's what all the kids are into these days.

But one major draw of the new fashion shoot is the fact same-sex couples appear together - for the first time in Calvin Klein's campaign history.

The image starring male models Reid Rohling and Ethan James Green will even feature on brand's prominent billboard on Houston Street in Soho, New York.

calvin klein

According to a press release, the Mario Sorrenti-shot images are a "sociological experiment turned fashion campaign," and provide "an editorial narrative of how a modern generation uniquely approaches sexual connection in a digital world."

Calvin Klein Jeans has a long history of combining sexual energy with cultural relevance,” Melisa Goldie, chief marketing officer at Calvin Klein Inc. told Women's Wear Daily.

"Our past campaigns have been more image-driven and this one was about starting a conversation through provocation."

calvin klein jeans

NY Mag noted that the campaign "feels like a step forward" for Calvin Klein, and we have to commend the brand for including more diversity.

A spokesperson from LGBT rights organisation Stonewall told HuffPost UK Style: "Same-sex couples wear jeans too, and so it’s great to see this represented in Calvin Klein’s latest campaign.

"It’s brilliant to see increasing diversity within advertising and branding. We hope this continues, and that similar campaigns embrace and represent all parts of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community."

But it seems not everyone is a fan of the shoot.

Dating and relationships blogger The Guyliner told HuffPost UK Style: "Is this a breakthrough, a victory for equality? Or is it maybe a tired old pants-peddling brand appropriating gay culture to sell a few more bottles of posh pong?

"The use of sexts and, in the case of the same sex couple, hookup apps, feels like a trendy vicar desperately trying to look fab and groovy with the street kids. So tech-savvy! 'Raw texts'? I'd say it's more overcooked than anything."

Do Skinny Mannequins Need to Be Banned?

$
0
0
Another day, another controversy. For an industry that's built on aspiration and 'beauty', fashion has a strange mixture of ideologies. It favours the rich, the slightly strange-looking, and, even in an age where people long to emulate Kim Kardashian's curves, fashion loves thin. From models to mannequins, you'd be hard pressed to find something that represents your body. And it's these faceless figures championed by designer and high street stores alike that have hit headlines this week.

25-year-old Laura Berry wrote a lengthy Facebook post, condemning Topshop for their 'ridiculously shaped' 6ft 1in mannequins. It went viral, reaching the attention of Topshop themselves who said they would not be placing any further orders, adding: "This particular style is used in a small number of our stores and is based on a standard UK size 10. As the mannequins are solid fibreglass, their form needs to be of certain dimensions to allow clothing to be put on and removed easily; this is therefore not meant to be a representation of the average female body."

Topshop's not the only chain to garner mannequin criticism. Both Primark and lingerie brand La Perla have been called out on unrealistic features including concave stomachs and protruding ribs. Mail Online went so far as to measure the waists of mannequins from various stores. The results: Topshop - 25.5 inches, Zara - 24.5 inches and H&M - 23.5 inches. Even plus-size brands housed mannequins smaller than a size 12.

With a UK size 8 generally being 28 inches and the average British woman measuring 33 inches, why are mannequins so skinny? Simple answer: because they're not real. In a 2012 short film, legendary mannequin designer Ralph Pucci describes his creations as "art forms", admitting to their unattainable qualities. Walk around any shopping centre and you'll be met with giant headless dummies contorted into alien-like shapes. Are these ultra-thin things, with their spindly arms and twig-like legs, really being mistaken for an accurate representation of female bodies? Apparently so.

The media bandies around the terms 'eating disorders', 'young people' and 'fashion' almost on a daily basis. Since teenagers are notoriously susceptible to advertising and the like, let's think about what they pay attention - and look up - to. The models adorning ad campaigns and flooding our Instagrams; the poster girls for the next generation; the barely legal girls passed off as 'real women'. The images these girls appear in are the things that can require drastic action. Sometimes, a ban is needed (as in the recent Saint Laurent case) if they're promoting unhealthy ideals.

Do people aspire to look like a mannequin? Is anyone directly influenced by their ethereal frame? No-one can give a straight answer - perhaps because it's a pointless, non-existential question. Granted there'll be a few who stare wistfully at the impossible slenderness. But if you're anything like me, the only encounter you'll have with these plastic giants is muttering an embarrassed apology after mistaking one for a live human being.

Mannequins are an extension of a brand's creative vision; one that may not be to everyone's (or anyone's) taste. Will a piece of plastic ever be seen as the equivalent of a human body? Doubtful. Until then, let's focus on banning the things that matter.

Lingerie tycoon Michelle Mone is reportedly to be made a Conservative peer.

The Ultimo underwear founder was told she will take a seat in the House of Lords in a call from Prime Minister David Cameron, according to the Sun newspaper.

The appointment of Mone, who left Scotland earlier this year claiming she was attacked by a "social media hate campaign" for opposing Scottish independence, was called "obscene" by a Scottish National Party MP.

SNP MP Stewart McDonald, who represents Glasgow South, said on Twitter:  "Yes, Michelle Mone is a successful entrepreneur, but to become a national legislator overnight without the fuss of an election is obscene."

Glasgow-born Mone announced in June that she felt forced to leave Scotland after becoming caught up in an "extremely vitriolic social media hate campaign" due to her vocal support of the Union during the independence debate.

The 43-year-old, said to be worth £20 million, was awarded an OBE for her contribution to business in 2010.

The Sun revealed her reported peership on its front page on Saturday, calling Mone 'Lady Bra Bra'.

Mone blamed the SNP for her decision to leave Scotland, saying earlier this year: "The mood has got consistently worse and I now believe that the Scottish National Party’s Scotland is becoming a place consumed by hatred and ill will, a place where free speech is gradually being crushed and enterprise is despised."

"The SNP have turned my country into an angry, divided nation and it’s really sad to see."

Ms Mone, who has made appearances on TV's The Apprentice and Celebrity Masterchef, said nothing on the reports.

Her spokesman declined to comment and a Downing Street spokesman also declined to comment on the report.

Some commenters read into a tweet from Mone last night which said "Never thought life could be this amazing", although the the entrepreneur made no reference to the proposed peerage.

Mone's experience with Cybernats isn't isolated. In May, Harry Potter author JK Rowling was urged to emigrate from Scotland after suffering persistent online abuse in the wake of the referendum.

In a Guardian interview last month Mone was asked about her proudest moment so far.

She told the newspaper: "Probably all the inventions I've created. I helped the Prime Minister with the referendum and in keeping the Union together. That was tough, but it had the most rewarding results.

"Also, receiving my OBE from the Queen. I never, ever thought I would get anything like that."

Last year, Mone recruited her daughter Rebecca to model a new lingerie range for women with a fuller bust, saying: "Of course, I had my doubts about involving Rebecca in a campaign given that she's my daughter, but she's a young woman now and has been so involved in the development of the new collection it made complete sense."

Let Your Hair Down: Top Tips on Styling Through the Ages

I love a signature style, and I'm a fierce admirer of women like Charlotte Rampling or Helen Mirren who adapt their make- up and hairstyles as they age and have looked sexy and cool over the decades. The fear of looking like mutton dressed as lamb is part of the reason many of us succumb to the cut.

We have a deep-seated terror of coming across as if we're desperately hanging onto our youth. But there is no set age at which we should cut our tresses any more than there is a fixed point to retire our high heels. Feeling fabulous is about confidence. There are no rules. Life is for living and if your inner diva expresses itself through your long hair, embrace it, work with it, own it, and keep it.

1. Get the best haircut you can afford. The debate around short versus long hair is too simplistic. Most of us have moved on since the sixties. Today long hair is all about the cut, the shape and flattering layers. A few weeks ago I had my hair colored and styled at Tres Confidential in Paris and left the salon walking on air. When the miraculous happens and the cut and the color are perfect, you're ready to take on the world. Voila!

2. Care for your hair as though it's cashmere. As we get older our hair loses some of its natural sheen and years of coloring can thicken and damage it. I've been forty shades of grey since my twenties. It's important to use a shampoo for color treated hair and a great conditioner. I use Kerastase products. They also do a great once -a -week hydrating mask. They're not cheap but if you've ever used hotel shampoo and conditioner (eek) you'll know that you mostly get what you pay for.

3. Fight the frizz. Don't neglect the ends of your hair, which tend to get dry. There are a ton of smoothing serums out there. My favorite is John Frieda's Frizz-Ease it works like magic. Squeeze a little onto your hands and rub it into the ends of your hair after you've dried it. For even better results use my granny's tip and massage in warm olive oil before you wash it.

4. Work it from the inside too. The condition of our hair reflects our wellbeing. When we look healthy a few wrinkles are neither here nor there, our zest for life shines through. Make sure to get enough Omega3, Vitamin A and iron and to exercise regularly. This is hard science and you only have to think of times when you weren't well and your hair lacked luster to know that it's important.

5. I live in LA and swim most days so I use a UV hair protector. Try Biolage Color Care Therapie Shine Shake Spray on your hair during the summer months to protect it from sea water or chlorine damage.

6. Play with the style. Once you have a good cut; one that hits at your cheekbones, again at your jaw line and is soft around your face, then it's down to you. That's what's so brilliant about longer hair. It's so versatile. Put it up and pull out those Brigitte Bardot dangly wisps or pull it back into a smooth low ponytail. Try parting it at the side and tucking it behind one ear a la Lauren Bacall. Get a great blow dry and channel Demi Moore. It's summer. Pile it in a top- knot and forget all about it. You're fabulous at any age and your locks are your crowning glory.

Nicopanda: More Fashion Forward Than the Average Bear

Men's and women's wear label Nicopanda has just dropped its Autumn/Winter collection and its signature fun is matched with street-savvy sophistication.

Designed by Nicola Formichetti, the former artistic director of Mugler and Diesel is perhaps more widely known for creating some of Lady Gaga's most memorable looks and videos, including Bad Romance, as well as directing the stunning Gaga's Workshop Barney's windows for her New York charity project in 2011.

Born in Tokyo, the Italian-Japanese designer often appears to draw heavily on some of the fun aspects associated with Japanese culture for his Nicopanda line - from manga style (his favourite character is Chibi Maruko) to Harajuku street style, colour and cuteness. But, perhaps drawing on the understated Italian side of his heritage, there is also an arch sophistication to this incredibly unique and wearable line.

The latest drop - some of which is pictured here - features architechtural elements, beautiful construction and continues with the ruffles theme seen in previous collections, for both sexes.

I hadn't planned to write solely about this collection but it just really speaks to me as someone who lives in and for comfy sportswear, and can often feel constricted and awkward when 'dressing up', despite loving a more 'grown up' evening image.

This Nicopanda collection presents a fashion-forward, easy-to-wear look that represents a duality that absolutely appeals to both sporty and more groomed aesthetics without compromising on comfort or personality. And LOOK - they're all styled with (gorgeousgorgeousgorgeous) trainers, too! HELLO.

2015-08-01-1438470304-3693554-NicopandaAW15CollectionLaunchSarahMcGivenHuffingtonPostFashion.jpg

It's hard to pick a standout from such a strong collection but I am completely obsessed with the red coat pictured above (also seen in white, here). The rounded exaggerated collars are a clever nod to the season's key 1970s trend and top a fun, sassy style that plays convincingly with volume and proportions in the most perfect shade of lipstick red.

The lace print pieces, pictured top, are also divine, especially the unisex sweatshirt and matching sweatpants/trousers which use a chic colour palette and well-placed ruffle details to take a basic sports luxe design to the next level.

Shop the Nicopanda collection internationally, either online at thecorner.com (coming soon) or from a number of retailers around the world including Machine-A , 127 and Selfridges in London, Hervia in Manchester, and Opening Ceremony in both New York and Los Angeles.

Brooklyn Beckham Model Agency: 16-Year-Old Reportedly Signs Lucrative Contract

Brooklyn Beckham looked all set to join his father David on the football pitch, but now it seems he's following mum Victoria into the world of fashion.

While most 16-year-olds are spending the summer awaiting their GCSE results and preparing for college, the eldest Beckham boy has reportedly just signed a lucrative new modelling contract.

brooklyn beckham

The Mirror reported that Brooklyn's new career will launch shortly, with a source revealing he had very recently signed with an agency and is now eyeing up a career in Hollywood - though he is yet to sign with an acting agent there.

"It appears he has a lot of potential for a career in the industry," the source told the newspaper.

"He is incredibly photogenic and has the handsome looks to be considered for some high-profile, big-money work."

Brooklyn made his modelling debut at the tender age of 15, when he posed for the cover of Man About Town magazine in March 2015.

The shoot was quite a family affair as dad David has also appeared on the cover of the biannual publication and Brooklyn's 20-page fashion story was shot by Alasdair McLellan - a photographer who previously worked with his mother Victoria.

In January this year, Brooklyn was signed up by Polish brand Reserved to be the face of its sports-inspired menswear line, YFL.

After shooting the campaign in March, Brooklyn was quick to share his new snaps with his 3.8m Instagram followers, showing off the brand's new-season baseball caps, sweatshirts and T-shirts.

Most recently, the budding model was also picked as the cover star for the June issue of Rollacoaster magazine, decked out in Ralph Lauren menswear.

But he's already got some serious competition in the form of younger brother Romeo Beckham, who was reportedly paid 45,000 for one day's work shooting Burberry's Christmas campaign last year - making him, hour-for-hour, among the world's highest-earning models.

He might not yet quite have the earning power of his younger bro, but we reckon Brooklyn's skills in front of the camera mean he can safely quit his weekend job in a a coffee shop, where he apparently worked for £2.68 an hour.

Summer Skin Is In And It's Here to Stay

I have never been one for wearing much make-up, apart from the days when I was 13 and foundation two shades darker than my skin tone was the in thing. I guess I have followed in the footsteps of my mother and grandmother, who opt for minimal make-up and quality skincare products. I am a true believer that if you look after your skin in your youth, you'll reap the benefits in your 30s and beyond! So, when summer comes around, I am fully embracing the natural 'freckles in abundance look'.

Whilst I discovered fashion from the ripe age of 2, dictating to my poor mother what outfit I wore each day, even if that meant an array of clashing colour and print, make-up is something I have really come to discover in the last few years. Immersing myself in the beauty pages of my favourite glossies, reading blogs and browsing cosmetic counters have all sparked my interest and helped me to find my signature look. There are now some products in my life that I just couldn't live without. They're all fabulous for achieving that healthy glow we all strive for both throughout the summer and into the bleaker winter months, when a radiant pick-me-up is key.

Chanel All-In-One Healthy Glow Fluid

It's not a secret that I am a huge fan of Chanel attire and the beauty collection is no different; I adore Les Beiges range. Until the release of this formula, I had struggled to find a Chanel foundation that wasn't too yellow for my rosy undertones, but the All-In-One Healthy Glow Fluid in No 10 ticks all the boxes. Somewhere between a tinted moisturiser and BB cream, it floods the skin with luminosity, providing a great moisturising base to work from. Its lovely floral scent and SPF 15 are a plus too! Although I favour a light to medium coverage to prevent that clogged-up feeling, I have been suffering with breakouts recently, so a good concealer is a must with this sheer, breathable product.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish

When you're sitting at the beauty counter, under artificial lighting with a professional applying them, it's easy to see products through rose-tinted glasses, but this highlighter did not fail to meet my expectation when I tried it again at home. It emphasises the features women want to embrace with a frosty glistening glow, leaving the skin feeling illuminated and polished. Being fair-skinned, it can be difficult to find highlighters that aren't too golden. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade enhances pale skin tones with its cool champagne, blue-veined colouring. Sweep under the brow bones, over the bridge of the nose and across the top of the cheekbones for a soft shimmering finish.

Topshop Lipstick

There's something about summer that makes coral lips so irresistibly kissable, but it's a trend I have struggled to trial, owing to my English Rose skin tone. I have always played it safe with red or pink shades when it comes to my lips, orangey pigments have just never looked great. When one of my girlfriends bought me a Topshop Lipstick for my birthday in Ohh La La, complete with a limited edition rose gold case, I discovered I can make coral work for me. Ohh La La has pink undertones, which complements paler rosy hues and it has a lovely creamy texture - yay! I'll leave the more vibrant oranges for all you olive beauties out there.

Diorshow Extase

If there's one thing in my make-up bag that I like to be bold and maybe not so natural, it's mascara; my lashes can never be too voluminous. I cannot praise Dior enough for their mascaras; with little effort they achieve big results! Diorshow Extase in Black is my all-time favourite and certainly lives up to the claim that it 'creates instant volume and a false-lash look in a single stroke'. As well as its instant 'volume plumping effect' and 'lash-care' formula, it stays put for the day and doesn't flake. Let's not forget its beautiful gold packaging that adds a touch of luxury to any dressing table or handbag.

Chanel Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick

I'm a cream blusher kind of girl, so when I saw Chanel had launched the Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick, I thought it would be rude not to go and test it out at my local counter. The stick comes in three colours: golden brown (No 20), pink (No 21) and coral (No 22). As usual, I headed straight for the pink, but the beauty consultant suggested that I tried No 20. I reluctantly let her apply some to the apples of my cheeks, over my All-In-One Healthy Glow Fluid. Adamant the bronzed effect wouldn't compliment my pale complexion, I was pleasantly surprised when I looked in the mirror at the end result. It gave my skin a natural sun-kissed glow, without looking too bronzed. It's so easy to use, simply apply the stick to the cheekbones and then blend in the velvety formula lightly with your fingertips.
