Beyoncé decided to celebrate gay marriage in the most Bey-way possible last night.

The singer shared a very colourful video with her 38.5 million Instagram followers, which shows her dancing around to 7/11 in not one but SIX different rainbow themed outfits.

She captioned the 15-second video "Never Too Late #LoveWins ❤️", and we just can't stop watching it.

Never Too Late #LoveWins ❤️

A video posted by Beyoncé (@beyonce) on

She rocks a fringes rainbow mini dress, two sets of rainbow swimwear, rainbow angel wings, waves a little rainbow flag, madly flaps her rainbow cape and tosses rainbow confetti in the air.

Maybe the video came four days after the official announcement as it took her that long to source all the technicolour outfits, although she is Beyoncé and her wardrobe is probably bigger than our entire flat.

Taylor Swift Makeup Tips: Her Exact Red Lipstick Shade Revealed

Taylor Swift and red lipstick go together like a country singer and a good breakup song. In fact, it's rare to ever spot the singer out and about without her signature lip colour.

Pairing the classic shade with a feline flick of eyeliner and her tousled blonde lob, Taylor knows what works for her, and now she's letting the rest of us in on her beauty secrets.

In this week's issue of People, the 25-year-old singer revealed her perfect red pout is courtesy of MAC's Ruby Woo lipstick - a cult fave amongst makeup artists, celebs and pretty much every beauty blogger, ever.

taylor swift

"I recently discovered [it] which I think everyone knows — it's a staple. I was the last person to discover it," Swift told the mag.

MAC's iconic Ruby Woo lipstick was first launched in 1999 as part of their Retro Matte collection (essentially a mattified version of the brand’s popular Russian Red) but became such a success they decided to make it permanent.

Other pop star fans include Gwen Stefani and Rihanna, who loved it so much that she chose to re-jig the formula slightly as part of her MAC collection in 2013, to create her own shade (the aptly named RiRi Woo).

Priced at £15.50, this is one celeb beauty product we can actually afford. *fist pumps*

Two Double-Mastectomy Survivors Walked Topless At Rainbow Fashion Week For A Brilliant Reason

When genderless lingerie company Play Out did a photoshoot featuring breast cancer survivors as models, the Internet saluted their incredible awareness movement.

And now they've done it again, but this time on the catwalk.

The stars of their campaign, cancer survivors Emily Jensen and Melanie Testa who had double-mastectomies without reconstruction, modelled the brand's underwear on the runway at Rainbow Fashion Week, a weeklong event that's part of NYC pride.

play out

Abby Sugar, co-founder of Play Out, told Mashable that the point of the show was to challenge gender norms and empower people of all bodies. She said she also hoped to spread awareness about “flattoppers,” or women who have undergone mastectomies and have chosen to remain flat-chested.

"We wanted to … show that you can be yourself, no matter your gender presentation or after a cancer diagnosis,” she said.

"It's underwear, no matter your gender presentation or sexual orientation (gay, straight, bi, pan, etc.), we should all be able to wear whatever underwear makes us feel sexy and affirms our sense of self.”

play out 2

Earlier this year, Play Out released a powerful photo campaign featuring double-mastectomy survivors.

Both Jensen, founder of Flattopper Pride, an organization that supports LGBTQ breast cancer survivors, and Testa took part in the series. They said at the time that they hoped the campaign would serve to empower other survivors.

"Living in a society that does not reflect the image of my body [type] -- breast-less, scarred, affected by cancer -- has great consequence and influence to those who are newly diagnosed," Jensen told HuffPost in May.

"Not all women choose reconstruction or feel that it will make them whole again; some feel quite whole without breasts and without the need to wear breast forms. I choose to embrace my body as is and blithely proceed with grace and dignity.

"My hope is that other women will see these images in their time of need and that they will feel empowered and informed about flat reconstruction as one option among many."

Three months ago, one beauty vlogger began began posting images of herself without makeup on social media. But she never expected this reaction.

Em Ford, a.k.a. My Pale Skin, received thousands of comments from strangers all over the world, ranging from compliments to downright nasty bullying.

Titled #YouLookDisgusting, her latest video calls out some of the nasty comments left on her photos - and they are pretty vile.

my pale skin

First the vlogger starts by applying her makeup, as she does in her tutorials, and the comments appear on the opposite side, with users telling her "you look amazing" and "you're so perfect".

Next the comments turn nasty, revealing the extreme bullying that Ford receives: "This should be illegal"... "This is false advertising"…"Trust no fucking bitch without makeup"

Thankfully the video ends on an empowering note, with Ford sharing some of the comments she's received from acne sufferers along with her own inspiring message: "You are beautiful. Don't let anyone tell you differently. Not even yourself."

my pale skin

In the description of the video, which has now had nearly 150,000 views, Ford has the final say: "I wanted to create a film that showed how social media can set unrealistic expectations on both women and men.

"One challenge many face today, is that as a society, we're so used to seeing false images of perfection, and comparing ourselves to unrealistic beauty standards that It can be hard to remember the most important thing - You ARE beautiful."

Go Em!

Beauty Tips: How To Remove Dye From Your Hair

$
0
0
Anyone who's ever been on a colour run, to Holi festival or experimented with hair chalk will know what a pain it can sometimes be to get rid of - especially if you've got highlights or fair tresses.

While the technicolour trend is all the rage right now, when you don't want pink/green/blue/orange hair and it just won't budge, all hell can break loose in the bathroom. Perhaps you shouldn't have tried out rainbow colours two days before that all important job interview.

However, before you reach for the dye bottle to mask those unwelcome hues try these tricks I tested out for myself on my very own head.

1. Soap/washing up liquid. Shampoo's great and all but in my experience I've found it can lock in unwanted shades of pink and green. I'd suggest passing on the Pantene and hitting the hard stuff. Well, washing up liquids and a plain old bar of soap anyway.

I lathered up my hair with Fairy Liquid (but any brand will do) as if it were shampoo and three rinse and repeats saw most of the colour down the drain. However, this stuff really dries out your ends and I was in desperate need of a deep conditioner afterwards.

2. Vitamin C tablets. Yes, really. And before you ask, no crushed up paracetamol will not offer the same results. Trust me, I tried. This method is a great excuse to use the ol' pestle and mortar your mum bought you for Christmas to grind together a couple of tablets and a tablespoon of water.

I mixed together until the ingredients formed a thick paste and applied to my damp unwashed hair as if it were leave-in conditioner. 30 minutes to an hour did the trick before I thoroughly washed it out with warm water. This was a good method for getting darker shades loose, but didn't work as well on pastels.

3. Ketchup. It sounds gross. It is gross. And it only really gets green out. If you've struggling to get rid of pinks, reds or oranges I would not recommend this method.

It's just not worth the gagging. However, if you decide to brave it just plonk a load on the top of your head and work through the length of your damp hair. Leave in for about 20 minutes (read: as long as you can bear) and then wash out with cold water.

4. Bleach. This is your last resort. I repeat this is your last resort. I only reached for the bleach when the last remnants of colour would not budge from my dry ends which had caught the most colour.

I mixed one part regular bleach (yes, the stuff you find under the sink) with four parts warm water, put on some medical gloves (you can buy them at Boots) and scrubbed the formula into my dry unwashed ends, left for about ten minutes before rinsing out thoroughly.

This did the trick, but left me fearing my hair would fall out in my sleep so I would only ever recommend this method if all other hope is lost.

Best Summer Perfumes 2015: Women's Fragrances To Suit Every Warm-Weather Occasion

$

The new season means a flurry of new fragrances arriving and 2015's latest launches claim to call to mind the sunny days and long, balmy nights we've missed all year.

But can you really capture the essence of summer in a bottle?

From picnics to parties, check out HuffPost UK Style's pick of the best perfumes for every warm-weather occasion.

For The Beach

beach

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Le Perfume, £43.50 for 50ml

It can be easy to skip the scent altogether when hitting the beach - that fresh suncream smell is good enough! But if you fancy a scent you'll need one to compliment your bodycare. Nuxe's notes of orange blossom, magnolia and vanilla warm up on skin to leave a heady, sensuous aroma. Double up the delicious smell with their cult body oil for gleaming limbs and serious perfume staying power.

For The Office

office

Elie Saab Le Parfum Resort Collection, £39.95 for 50ml

A hint of aroma is far more desirable than an overpowering one that leaves co-workers reaching for the nearest window, especially when the temperature heats up. Elie Saab's eau de toilette is fresh enough, with juicy fig and mandarin accords, but its exotic frangipani notes and amber base are enough to whisk your senses off to somewhere more tropical.

For A Night Out

night out

Ghost Eclipse Eau de Toilette and Body Shimmer Set, £27 for 50ml

Nothing says free-spirited fun like a summer night out, so you'll want a perfume to match. Fruity top notes, a floral heart and musky base make up Ghost's flirty scent. Seductive if you get close enough, but the juicy peach and mandarin notes keep things playful. The 90s-style fragranced body shimmer is a fun touch and one your Little Black Dress will thank you for.

For A Picnic

park

My Burberry Eau de Toilette, £52 for 50ml

With the sun (hopefully) beating down on you all day, it's advisable to steer away from strong scents and opt for a eau de toilette instead. Burberry's latest offering, a lighter version of their eau de parfum, captures the essence of the countryside with its very British notes of sweet pea, freesia and damask rose. We can almost hear the sheep...

My Burberry Eau de Parfum, £65 for 50ml

For Alfresco Evening Dining

dining

Versace Eros Pour Femme, £60 for 50ml

Long, lazy dinners call for a statement fragrance that will last late into the night. The feminine counterpart to 2012's Versace's Eros is definitely one for making a statement (this one gathered the most head turns in the HuffPost UK office). Bright, yet refined, a fresh floral opening quickly dries down to a smooth woody base, ripe with the scent of Italian lemon.

Just when we thought we'd mastered the art of strobing, along came "baking" and it's all getting pretty confusing in our makeup bag right now.

Luckily, Australian makeup artist Heidi Hamoud made this video that explains the technique, which has actually been used for years by the drag community (and they do have the fiercest makeup of all).

The method is also favoured by Kim Kardashian and her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, and if it's good enough for Kim...

Check our Hamoud's simple tutorial:

First she applies an under eye concealer and blends well...

Then covers the area she wants to highlight in pale loose powder and lets it sit for 10 minutes...

Heat from the face perfectly sets the concealer. Finally, after a bit more blending, the look is complete.

This Chameleon Mood Scarf Could Actually Change How You're Feeling

We'll always associate mood rings with the 90s, but the trend for colour changing accessories is set to take off once more - with colour changing technology now in everything from jumpers to nail polish.

This new scarf from Amsterdam-based company Neffa claims to take things one step further... not only does it differ in hue depending on your mood, but it promises to actually help change how you feel.

The Chameleon Scarf, inspired by its namesake lizard, switches its pattern according to temperature, UV light and the user's mood.

The colours turn bright when your body temperature is regulated (which happens when we're happy), but disappears as it heats up (which can mean you're stressed or angry).

scarf

According to the Neffa website, the silk-chiffon scarf also blends into one's surroundings when you're feeling stressed or scared and "creates a permanent sense of comfort, warmth, peace, and safety."

The scarf mimics a chameleon's skin, which contains different overlaid colours. The scarf is composed of separate layers, each with its own color and pattern.

While this may work for lizards out in the wild, we're not sure if our scarf blending in with our surroundings is going to help us through a stressful Monday morning. But it's worth a try...

Talcum Powder Beauty Tips: 10 Hacks You Need To Know About

$

Think talcum powder is just for babies? Think again. This sweet smelling powder has a myriad of brilliant uses, just waiting to make their way into your daily beauty routine.

From keeping legs super smooth, to cooling you down in the summer heat, here are 10 ingenious ways to use the white stuff:

1. To Soothe Dry Skin And Treat Eczema

Talcum powder can work like a moisturiser to help soothe extra dry skin. If you have areas of irritated skin, rub on a bit of talcum powder for an instant calming effect. Cuticura Talcum Powder (£4.20 from Boots.com) is dermatologically approved for use on eczema and contains zinc and allantoin that can help reduce symptoms.

2. To Thicken Eyelashes

Try dusting lashes with talcum powder before you apply mascara. The powder acts as a primer which gives you fuller, longer looking lashes without the need for falsies.

eyelashes
Thick lashes without a clump in sight

3. As A Makeup Setter

Talcum powder helps to set your makeup and prevent shine by absorbing and removing facial oils.

Quick bonus tip: It can also be mixed with a powder or bronzer that is a bit too dark to lighten it up.

4. To Wipe Away Sand

Sprinkle the powder on areas where sand has stuck to you and wipe off. The sweat, oil and water that’s causing the sand to stick will be absorbed by the powder meaning the sand can be easily wiped off your skin.

5. Instead Of Dry Shampoo

If you have blonde hair, sprinkle some talcum powder underneath the top layer of hair at your roots to absorb excess oil. Gently brush through to evenly distribute the product evenly and no-one will ever know.

6. To Prevent Chafing

On a hot summer’s day or before you begin exercising, try dusting some powder between your thighs to prevent chafing. It will help to eliminate friction when you run so your skin will stay smooth and pain-free avoiding the risk of sores.

7. To Cool Your Sheets

Another tip for a hot summer’s night: sprinkle some talcum powder on your bed sheets before going to sleep and you’ll feel cool and dry all night long.

8. For Silky Smooth Legs

After exfoliating, apply talcum powder to the area of skin you’ll be waxing before you begin. It will absorb any excess oil on the skin’s surface so the wax will be able to grab your hairs better.

9. To Freshen Up Clothes

Sprinkle a small amount of talc into a jar or dish and leave it in your wardrobe. The moisture removing properties of the powder will keep your cupboard free from that musty smell. You can also you can use it to freshen up your carpets - sprinkle a light covering, let it sit for about fifteen minutes and then hoover up.

10. To Stop Shoes Smelling

Simply sprinkle a light dusting of talcum powder inside the shoes and leave them overnight. In the morning, shake out the baby powder and you’re good to go.

Cara Delevingne Has Officially Quit Modelling

Rumours that Cara Delevingne had quit modelling have been rife for the past few months, but it seems her departure from the runway is now official.

Delevingne's agency Storm Models have removed her profile from its website today, confirming that the gossip was true.

cara delevingne

But why the departure from fashion?

Delevingne has swapped the catwalk for Hollywood movie sets, with leading roles in this summer's Paper Towns and the upcoming Batman flick Suicide Squad.

But it seems the 22-year-old has also become disillusioned with the fashion industry, deeming comments about her weight "horrible".

In her most recent interview for July's Vogue, the model-turned-actress revealed she gets more satisfaction from her new career: “The thrill of acting is making a character real. Modeling is the opposite of real. It’s being fake in front of the camera."

“I’m not sure I understand what fashion is anymore,” she said.

“I admit I was terrified to leave. I mean, the bubble gives you a kind of dysfunctional family. When you’re in it, you get it. And the second you’re out of it, you’re like, What the hell just happened?”

Carpet Fitter to Model and Award-winning Actor at 50

$

I wasn't particularly looking for a career change, although something less physical and strenuous than fitting carpets for a living had crossed my mind from time to time, especially after 30 years in the job. It was around five years ago I was sunbathing in a London park, when two model scouts came over to me from The Eye Casting. They asked if I would be interested in testing for a television commercial for a shaving brand. It did come as a surprise, as I was 50 years old at the time and always thought that models were much younger or looked like David Beckham or David Gandy. I said I would think about it and they arranged to call me a couple of days later. By the time they called back, I had decided to go with it and although I didn't get the TV commercial, they signed me to the agency. Not long after that, I started to get lots of bookings. At first it was for adverts in magazines but this soon lead into more moving image jobs like music videos, short films and commercials. After shooting one of the music videos, the directors approached me about trying for the lead in the new feature they were planning to shoot later that year. After auditioning and testing, they offered me a lead role in the movie. I was absolutely thrilled, as this was only eight months after I'd been scouted and I had never had any acting training. The fact that I haven't had any training is something people are always curious about and ask me about. This however is something I don't dwell on too much. I just read the script and totally believe I am that person in that situation. It's more of an instinct thing.

It was early one summer morning in 2011 then that I set off in my carpet van for our location. Home for the next five weeks was to be Folkestone in Kent. With me were a small crew of 25, all of them passionate and talented, albeit new to the feature length films. The title of the film is Everyone's Going to Die, a black comedy with a twist of romance, directed by a talented duo, Max Baron and Michael Woodward, known collectively as Jones. My co-star and leading lady was to be Nora Tschirner, a very experienced German actress and presenter. The first week was spent with Max and Nora, rehearsing and perfecting the script and performances, while Michael and the film crew checked the locations and worked on the technical side. I remember the very first scene we shot involved me sprinting 100 yards being chased by a ferocious dog. But as the saying goes, 'Never work with children or animals,' and we had to retake the scene 10 times! Exhausting!

Another time, Nora and I had to swim across an icy cold harbour at two in the morning, then stop in the middle and have a conversation! It makes me smile every time I see the uncontrollable shivering. One of our producers somehow managed to persuade Jaguar to loan us a luxury car for my character to use in the film, and our lovely main producer, Kelly Broad, let me use the car for the whole five weeks while she drove my old carpet van! Fun times and good memories.

The film has been screened in many of the world's film festivals, with a world premiere at SXSW in Austin, Texas and a UK premiere at the Edinburgh Film Festival. It won an arthouse cinema award in Mons, Belgium and the jury at the Dinard film festival gave us a special mention for our performances. We now have a UK release for the film in selected cinemas from June 26th. I've worked in three more features since we made this film, the latest one being a part in Guy Ritchie's new film, Knights of the Round Table, where I play Mordred, a druid King. Coming to a multiplex near you, 2016...

In between my roles in film, I have my modelling work. I have had some great jobs where I got to travel to different cities around the world, some of my favourites being Paris, Venice and Johannesburg. Recently though, I landed one of my best jobs to date, here in the UK for H&M, in a new campaign directed by Mark Forster. This was a TV commercial, playing pool with David Beckham where we had a great time filming, walking around the table and staring each other out for two days. It was all acting though, as I have to say that David really is a nice guy and we had great fun shooting it.

So glad I was in the park that day and the way things are going, I'm really excited about the future and doing more films. It sure beats working for a living!

Everyone's Going to Die is in UK Cinemas now and will be available on VoD from July 6th.

Madeline Stuart is an 18-year-old model with Down's Syndrome and she's just landed herself a fitness wear advertising campaign.

The teenager is determined not to let her condition stand in the way of her dreams and she has recently lost an incredible 40 pounds thanks to her newfound love of sport.

The Australian has over 39,000 Instagram followers whom she inspires with positive words and images promoting her healthy lifestyle.

On her Facebook page she wrote about her weight loss and posted before and after photos.

The post said: "18 months ago I decided to turn my weight around and to concentrate on my health.

"This is the outcome. Please like and share my page if you believe our health is so important. Help me to encourage other people to get healthy."

Stuart's mother Roseanne said: “People with Down's Syndrome can do anything, they just do it at their own pace. Give them a chance and you will be rewarded beyond your greatest expectations.”

The Aussie is not the first model with Down's Syndrome. She follows in Jamie Brewer's footsteps.

Brewer is the first person with Down's Syndrome to have walked at New York Fashion Week and is proud of her place as a role-model.

She spoke to the Independent and said: "Young girls and even young women… [see me] and say: 'Hey, if she can do it, so can I."

"It’s a true inspiration being a role model for any young women to [encourage them] in being who they are and showing who they are."

This July we're running a Fitspiration campaign, where we're championing fitness as a positive addition to life rather than always being about weight loss. From inspirational interviews to easy-to-follow exercise tips, we hope to inspire everyone to get out there and have fun. Trust us, your body will thank you for it. Acres of chiffon were draped around boned corsets with frayed strass crystal embellishments adding a deconstructed effect.

Looking like Grecian goddesses-meets-turn of the century woodland nymphs, the models showcased Versace's revealing designs on a plexiglass catwalk set decorated with 25,000 orchids.

The show drew a star-studded crowd, with the likes of Naomi Campbell, Irina Shayk and Nicky Hilton showing their support for the designer.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was also in attendance, turning heads in a black, sheer cut-out creation fresh off the Versace runway.

Eyebrows were groomed, skin was given a glow and a light smokey eye was created using pale shimmery greens, while the hair was styled with a nod to seventies rock chicks and completed with leafy garlands.
